Amlizekt
Amlodipine in Amlizekt is a calcium ion influx inhibitor of the dihydropyridine group (slow channel blocker or calcium ion antagonist) and inhibits the transmembrane influx of calcium ions into cardiac and vascular smooth muscle.
Composition
Amlizekt 5mg+5mg:
Each tablet contains:
Amlodipine Besilate BP equivalent to Amoldipine 5 mg; Lisinopril USP equivalent to Anhydrous Lisinopril 5 mg.
Amlizekt 5mg+10mg:
Each tablet contains:
Amlodipine Besilate BP equivalent to Amoldipine 5 mg; Lisinopril USP equivalent to Anhydrous Lisinopril 10 mg.
Indications for use
- treatment of mild to moderate hypertension.
- hypertension not responding to monotherapy with ACE inhibitors or calcium antagonists. It may also be substituted for the titrated doeses of the individual components.
Mode of application
The dosage, should be individualized.
The usual initial dosage in one tablet daily. If blood pressure control is inadequate after a week or two, the does may be increased to two tablets daily.
